Use
The Requirements Management tile is part of the Project and Process Management launchpad group. This launchpad group is the central access point for all the information and functions related to Project and Process Management. Requirements Management enables you to handle change processes for software innovations used throughout your business, including SAP and non-SAP products. After identifying the need for a new function or feature, business departments (lines of business) can submit a business requirement and detail the necessary changes. The IT department uses this data to scope the requirement and determine whether it can be implemented.
Integration
Requirements Management exists in parallel to the Change Control Management process and is highly integrated with Change Request Management. Requirements management, however, is integrated with project planning (in Portfolio and Project Management) and so enables you to handle new requirements that are requested by the line of business. Change Request Management, in contrast, is used to change existing functions.
Relationship
One business requirement can split up into multiple IT requirements, which in turn can be distributed among various development departments for further evaluation and possible integration.
